This auction is for an a BLACK  & WHITE  training set with average size halter, however, if you would prefer a different size halter, please request it on the Paypal invoice. We usually have every size from new born to draft. If you need a different color, please contact us to see if it is available.
This set contains--- One WHITE TRAINING STICK, one 14 ft.  BLACK TRAINING LEAD with a brass bull snap & one matching BLACK 4 knot double braided polyester TRAINING HALTER.  These training aids were designed by CLINICIAN MARVIN THOMEY and are made from the highest quality double braided yachting cord and rope we have ever seen or handled. Samson 1/2" EQ braid. If you want quality and durability, this is it!  Details of each item below.

BLACK HALTER--
If bidder is familiar with C.A.'s halters, this one is identical in every way.  If not familiar with them, then please read on.
This halter comes in "average" size, but we can send you the size you need upon request.  The average size fits the 850 to 1150 pound weight range.  (The QH wearing this "average" halter is approx. 1125 pounds, and stands 15 hands.  This halter can be adjusted to fit individual horses by sliding the
fiador knot
up or down.   This halter is made with a stiff double braided polyester core to aid in retaining it's shape. The full-bodied 1/4 inch Samson yachting cord used to build this halter is the same as used by CA.  It's design discourages horses from pulling and leaning against it by laying very comfortable on the horse when he doesn't pull. But it becomes somewhat uncomfortable when he does pull.  Horses soon learn that yielding to pressure renders the "comfortable" feel. The halter's 4 nose band knots successfully communicate cues when lunging, leading, or flexing.  The knots are strategically located on the pressure points of the nose to help get the horse's attention if he should refuse to yield to pressure.

(Note that weanling and foal size halters are only tied with two knots on the noseband due to their sizes.)
ITEM #2 =  A BLACK 14 foot THOMEY training lead.
Made with Samson EQ braid, 1/2 inch double braided polyester yacht rope. If you've ever seen a 14' lead made by C. A., these are identical.
Have you ever wondered why the clinician's leads spin and twirl easier than yours? Please notice that these leads have a heavy 6 1/2 inch weighted end  so even a beginner can spin and twirl them like a pro!
This lead has all the bells and whistles such as a 5 inch hand spliced and sewn loop for hardware, a heavy 4 1/4 inch brass bull snap, and a full 6 1/2 inch weighted end. The weighted end makes it so easy to spin and twirl, that even a beginner can do it.  This lead has been custom braided to create an extra high rate of twist that insures heavier weight, better balance, a softer grip, and greater authority when carrying a wiggle down the line.
The smallest of wiggle at one end easily carries the full length of this lead.
Leads made from double braided polyester yacht rope are a favorite among many clinicians and horse enthusiast.  If you want a lead that "HAS IT ALL" and may last for decades, you'll want to give this training lead a try.

A WHITE 4 foot

with a 6 foot d.b. polyester rope and popper. This stick is more tapered out to the end than most carrot sticks or handy sticks making it lighter and easier to manage than the straight 10mm rods. It is designed to reduce weight out at the end so it feels even lighter than it's approx. 8.7 ounces ( 11 oz. with lash).   Made from
heavy duty fiberglass
that gives it great strength and firmness. I have used them for years and have never seen one break.   It also sports a soft, but firm, 10 inch tapered soft rubber handle. Strings are easily attached and removed through the large leather loop.  Both ends of this training stick may be shown in the photo for a more detailed look, but there is only one stick included in this auction.
These sticks are essential for safe and quick ground work results. A small plastic bag can be easily attached to aid in desensitizing exercises, or give the stick a higher intimidation factor.
